Another Race

Will I raced 3 times to night 96 Probe Gt ( Exhuast, Ram Air, JDM ECU, Lowered, Fastest Track Time 15.8)
I race a 240 SX (5 dollar race, no Exhuast, Sounded beast), Andc a VW GTI VR6 ( 20 dollar race, Muffler, Racing Chip, Lowered, Fastest Track Time 15.3)

First Race was the Probe he is my friend and highly respected racer at school cuz he has the best take off and he is a cool guy. I want to race him becuz the GTI has never beat him so i want to see were I would stand in a race with him before I drop 20 bucks on a race. So we line up I have horn. First Gear he is like 2 cars in front of me. 2nd Gear ( I hit N2O) Right beside him. 3rd gear I pull a hood and held. I WON I WAS SO HAPPY THIS GUY IS LIKE THE PERSON TO BEAT AT SCHOOL IF YOU WANT RESPECT FOR YOUR CAR.


Then I saw a 240sx rev his engine and talk to some gurls. I walked over asked him to race then asked him to race for 5 bucks he was like sure ( Never told him I have n2o (my bad) ). I raced him 1st gear he was in front a little then 2nd gear I hit n2o and pulled like no other and he shut it down and I shut it down. Easy 5 bucks

Then the GTI, been waitin on this race a week , so I raced First gear nobody gets traction its like 30 deg. here. but he is out by like a car or 2 then 2nd gear I hit n2o and I pull but his high end holds me off and he is still a car or car and a half I am like fuck I am going to lose 3rd gear I close it to a car but I still lost 20 bucks gone I was pissed.

But anyway they longer call my car turtle so i lost 15 buck all and all and got some respect so I am happy

Turtle...thats funny. Nice kills though. I esspecially like the 240SX kill because they are not bad cars.

What the heck does a JDM ecu in a probe gt? and JDM what? from a honda or a nissan or something else?and does he have a PHD in automotive engineering to make an ecu from another car fit?

The newer Probe GT's have a Mazda V6 in it. I dunno what JDM car would have the same engine, but its not too far fetched to have an ECU for it.

And just because you kept up with 15 second cars on the street in the crappy weather, doesn't nessecarily mean you have a 15 second car. Like I've said before, you're probably in the mid to low 16s with your 55 shot. The Probe only runs a 15.8... not that far out of reach for you to beat on the street. And the GTI should be in the 14s... not sure what his problem is... but whatevers dogg!

Not my problem if he can't drive. :p


All in all, get that car to the track and lets really see what you're running with the nitrous. I'm curious what a 55hp jump in power does to your stock ET.

I've run a 15.3 at the track and my buddy's GTI VR6, which has pretty much the same mods as redrunner's friend's GTI, runs dead even with me on the street, so i don't know about it going into the 14's. Then again, your right, he is a horrible driver... :evillol:

but you are right about weather Conditions but when he ran the 15.8 it had been raining and the track lets us do so runs while it was lightly rain so I think he can run faster then 15.8

As for GTI you are right he sucks at driving I would have beat him but I dont use n2o off the line cuz i dont have a tach and dont want to take the chg for 20 bucks.

The reason I said the Gti cant drive is cuz first time at track he ran 16.3 and now he is runnin15.3 avg of 15.6. Reason for this is he just started to shift at redline. he did not know and was scared to wait for the redline to come up he was shifting at 5600 or so...

I do too. But then we are just high school kids with shitty jobs. Like me I make 6.50 h and I get paid on fridays and I work 20 to 25 hours a week then I pay my insurence 100 bucks then gas hits me hard now that I have to have 93 oct. And peeps Love what i am doing to car but will not drop 2cents to help. Then all the rich kids who have peeps that will get them anything get z3 bmw 4 bangers and run them into the ground. Over and Over and Over again. For the imports at my school I am on the up level but overall car the V8s My friends Camaro with a 460 something or Bigger is the fastest at school. He ran 13s and with his small block now he has bigger meaner engine.

But on the street my car is the perfect Sleeper. Looks all stock on steelies No Exhuast, No sounds, then you say I bet 10 or 20 bucks my 2001 stock Civic EX can beat your car. (They Never ask what I got underhood) so I go take their money and go fill my n2o tank back up and use the rest for gas

Hell I do it, I'm by no means perfect but I usually proof read my posts before submiting them, again I miss things... but still that was funny.

Then, the entire GTI race... You wrote it as a giant run on sentance, If you were to say all that in person without pausing... I think you'd pass out. And the fact that there's really a lack of detail for that race. You said it yourself, this was your big race. And you'd been waiting for this race, so I figured you would of went into a bit more detail on the race rather than a brief description. Ya know?:dunno:

All I'm saying is, we (the internet losers on AF) are not there with you see your bodily motions, and emotions or hear the emphasis on the words. So we can't always know what you're saying for the most part. So typing out descriptions of things, converstations, and how things were acted out always help in telling your story.

i would compare myself to a ford lightning, big but still fast enough to whoop up on some smaller cars

LOL If you look at it that way. (and I would if I was you) I would say my car was 13s too. I will try to get it to track this week or next week and post my slips. Just hard getting money right now and win races. Still hurts me cuz without my n2o I am just a 17s Honda Dx (16s) :cwm27:

i am 5'6" 153lbs and i ran a 4.9 second fifty meter. i never ran a 40. (neva drank no "foty" neitha) i would guess i would be about 4.2-4.4 in the 40.

I am about 5 9 with my shoes on (hehe) 151 dressed. I think if I did more then worked on car, sit in my car, and sleep and eat I could drop my 40 time I just never had to train to run fast always been fast. But dont know why. I should train more. I think I will start training when its not so cold and there is nothing on TV and my car is broke. Then I will train
