Wet Coat?

I heard of this, but exactly how does it work when you paint/prime? How does it help?

uh... i think i understand what your asking.. primer helps to make the paint stick better.

Wetcoat....when painting the model it is advised to spray the first couple of coats as a mist. The primer (or plastic if you are so inlined) should still show through the paint. You are trying to build up coverage in stages. The wetcoat is usually the last coat of paint. Sprayed a bit heavier than the rest. If done correctly, the paint should look smooth and very shiney...wet.

wet coat is used in painting so as to make the surface look shiny. I don't think you'd really use a wet coat for priming, as you only want the car to be lightly sprayed (and covered) with some primer, in order for the laquer to stick to it. Usually the wet coat is the last coat of the painting process, the one that makes the Pman shine
