Left Lane = FASTER TRAFFIC

I Cant understand why its so hard for people to realize that the left lane is for faster moving traffic. Its either that beige 1998 Ford Escort 4-door or that crusty old 86 Pontiac 9000, or even that brand new 2003 Ford F-350 SD. To get into town theres a 2 lane highway; 2 going in opposite direction, and everytime i get on that road theres to people going the exact same speed block both lanes. I mean, your slowing everyone else up, plus you could be drafting the car thats going the same speed for better MPG. (heh, i wonder how many people i piss off when i finally do get a chance to pass them; oh the bark of the LS1. One that simply cannot be matched :smokin: ) I also hate these little flies that skit on my car. Their turd are about 5mm wide, and you have to pick them off with your finger nail, but if you dont get them immediatly off they stick AGAIN!

What you need to do, is track down one of those big windshield stickers from the late 80's, that reads "Slower Traffic Keep Right" backwards, so that people can read it in their rear-view mirrors, and put it on the windshield of your car.

Two people going the exact same speed and holding up traffic is called a Polish Road Block. Colorado is known for this. They even need to post signs on the highway that say "Slower traffic keep right".

If you live in New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, South Africa or Japan- then you keep left if you are going slow :)

i'm with you man....how freakin hard is to understand that if you go slower than the person behind you you are supposed to pull to the freakin slower lane.....


here in utah everyone drives in the fast lanes...it doesn't matter that they are not passing anyone they will still use the passing lane...and they force you to pass them on the right


of course nothing is more anoying than speed maching the car on their right and blocking the road

and of course there is what i call the "utah special" when on a 3 lane freway they drive side by side on all three

i fckin agree. it really pisses me off aswell. but i tail gate a lot. i try not to but i cant help it. reason y i sit on the left lane.
i dont like going 50 in a 60 zone. i like going either right on the mark, or 5 -10 k over when safe.
im on the right lane. i find a car going slow, so i move to the left lane. then find a car going particuarly slow aswell. then what they do? they keep up to the speed limit on the left lane. and so does the other side. thats when i tail gate, and thats when they move. sometimes they dont. so it gets annoying. :uhoh:

another thing i dont like is when im behind someone, and notice the traffic lights still green and they start to slow down.
or when the traffic lights are red, and they start to slow down as soon as they see it.

I totally agree with faster traffic in the right lane, thats why I drive 120km/h, in a 100 zone to school, in the left lane...but then I get idiots that come up behind me, and expect me to go faster than that... Im already risking a ticket at 120, and they expect me to go 130, ya right...

just put some crazy bright lights on your bumper. My hella 500 are cheap but they are so bright and high when im behind a slow car they move over instantly

If I am going that fast(75) anyway and some guy is getting his titties in a ringer because he wants to pass the right lane faster than I am in a 55, then I just ignore him and slow him down

Wherever you are going is going to still be there when you get there, what is the rush. Eventually you realize a few 100 speeding tickets are not worth the minute or 2 you save. Is it really worth a day of work for that 2 minutes?

surpisingly im not. Im against HIDs and am looking for a way to dim my already bright headlights cuz the low beams even hurt. We need an asshole smilie just for me.

It is annoying but here's what I run into alot. I'm be going like 70 in the left lane & I'll come across someone going like 58 in my lane. So I'll move over into the fast lane to pass them, not changing my speed. Here come someone going 110 behind me riding right on my bumper. To keep the fool from sliding on my bumper as he creeps past the slow car behind me I have to almost swerve back into the left lane while they blow past your bumper, almost hitting it. That's uncalled for. Obvisiouly(sp?) if your going faster than the car in the left lane your not trying to block traffic...

well for whoever said "whats the rush" what if your driving and your wife or someone has a seizure, and your 15 minutes away from the hospital, do you folloy the person in front of you who is going slow?

Last I checked, seizures arent life threatning, so ya, youd better just go slow behind the guy. but if your wife is having a heart attack or something, then you ram them into the ditch. :iceslolan

You should try driving in Florida. They have speed minimums posted for all the old people that go to Florida to die... I mean retire...

I hope you're joking because if you've ever done this, you're a major asshole. Just about a month ago, two people died because somebody did this. Some asshole decided traffic was going too slow, and tried to pass on the shoulder - wouldn't you know it a car had broken down and was using this lane for it's intended purpose when this dumbass smashed into the car, killing the two people looking under the hood.
Besides we all get there eventually, why does everybody always have to be in such a damn rush all the time?

But it could easily happen to anybody. I don't think it's right to put others at danger, just because you want to break a couple laws.

i understand what your getting at, but what about street racing? how you feel about that one?

It depends, but anyplace where you're going to find crosswalks, pedestrians, parked cars etc. is a stupid place to do any sort of racing.

If you live in a rural area things are slightly better, but nothing will be as safe as taking it to a track.

I live in the middle of know where. Tuns of wide S-Curves, hilly, flat, straight and long. Lack of cops too. Just got to be carful for the logging trucks potholes and deer that sometimes obstruct the way. But i have to take all the main roads to get into town.

OOOO i hate that, i think its actually illegal (well thats what i was told at one time by a DMV guy), i think its illegal to drive in the left lane unless you are passing someone! anyway, yeah it pisses me off too when slow people drive in the fast lane.

o and about slowing down when you see a red light, thats ok if you're like within a suitable distance that you will have to eventually stop because it saves gas, no use in wasting gas right??
