:eek2: That's alot of money. Must be a real collector's item

BRABUS
04-11-2001, 03:06 PM
I'd have to say its a tough call between the S600 or the BRABUS tuned S7.3S. That S7.3S could quite possibly destroy most sports cars out there! 7.3L, 582 HP, top speed of 314 km/h! Oh baby!!

Ferrari F40, with 288GTO a close second.

yeah, teh bugatti is really collectable, only 6 or 7 were made. It is an example of cost not being a factor. They are also bigger than an Excursion in every dimension. Really unreal, but cool;)

I would add one thing (or, rather take away) from that Pagani Zonda C12S, the speed limiter. Yup, its limited to 155mph, but the speedo goes to 390 kph (240mph).
I guess because its a mercedes, but good choice, its rare (only 20) and looks really cool

Adam
05-03-2001, 04:41 PM
NO!!! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT!!! I'll go cry out in the corner. :(

anywayz, where'd ya here that? Wouldn't Road and Track have said that in their article? Wouldn't they not have gone as fast as they did?

Chris
05-04-2001, 07:25 PM
Yes, it sucks. They R&T should have said it was speed limited. You could probably get the speed limiter removed, though. I have got my info from a couple of sources, and found one. See the December 2000 issue of Car and Driver, page 97. Oh well.:(

Adam
05-07-2001, 05:04 PM
my first issue EVER of card [CAR & Driver] came yesterday.:(

i want the issure of CARD w/ the Zonda sooooo bad... but i don't have it, and that source i just can't use:(

the Zonda will be innocent of the limiter until proven guily *gulp*

Why on earth would they put a limiter on the Zonda?

I dug out my pile of C&D, and I'll whole-heartedly back-up Chris, who correctly quoted C&D's listed stats stating that Top Speed (governor limited) is 155 mph. I will add that that figure was printed as "Manufacturer's performance ratings," not as test data. No where in the text of the article do they mention any actual testing, other than driving it on the streets of New York.

It seems to me that a car that sets you back 300 large, and is one of only twenty made that year, would be able to have it's governor removed as easily as the wrapper off a candy bar.

What made you pick this particular ultra-rare supercar as your favorite? How did you even hear about it if not from the C&D article? Did you know that same issue of C&D has an article about the Aston Martin Vanquish?

Dude, go to the library and bring dimes for the copier! ;)

Chris
05-08-2001, 09:45 AM
It has the speed limiter because they use a mercedes engine, but a seperate transmission, a nice, in-house six-speed. And RennTech has removed the speed-=limiters, I think.

Adam
05-08-2001, 05:50 PM
ohhh... ahhhh...

u can buy SUPER EXPENSIVE back-up copies from CARD can't you?

even though i wish i didn't know all of that, thanx for telling me :( :D

I found out about the Zonda from Road and Track.

From there I created: http://www.paganizonda.com

I have a ton of pictures i am going to upload soon, as well as 4 movies: 1 real, 3 from a Gran Turismo 3 website (not real)

oh yeah, and BTW:

while i am on this topic, what do you think of me changing

http://www.paganizonda.com

to this design with a lot more cars:

http://www.supercarstats.com/zonda/main.html

?---- The only link that works on that site is the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish link... just a little preview?

should i try it or ditch it ? it won't have the stupid popups if i use it

Ya man a lot better. Cool page too. How long did it take you to make it? I had one that was over 50MB. Long time.

Adam
05-08-2001, 07:57 PM
make what?

supercarstats.com: maybe a couple weeks -- straight (that means no sleaping, food, anything)

paganizonda.com: overnight @ first, then updated another night. Not including adding pictures. Total maybe 48 hours straight.

possibly new paganizonda.com: a couple of hours, but i haven't updated anything yet. Shouldn't take too long.

what one looks alot better, old or new?

I know when most people think "dream car" they
think not of price, matinance (or however the hell
u spell it), and cost of upkeep; but i do. therefore,
i would have to say that the new

S2000R with:
Inline 6, 360hp @8300rpm. this thing packs a fucking
punch. weighing less than a miata and have that much
horsepower is rediculous. Hence the 0-60 time of just
4.1 seconds. It has the high revving abilities of the
original S2000, and yet it has %56 more low-end
torque. With the reliabilty of a honda and the
performance of cars double its price.
only $55,000.:bigthumb:

My favorite car is a turbined powered sport bike; 2000hp and a 0-60 time of 1.1 seconds really decimates all competitors. It has this "glue tires" which really allow it to put the power to the ground and is actually incapable of doing a burnout or losing traction in any sense. It's "magic" glue though, because the tires can still spin. The one and only time this car was taken on the track they tested it against the 2003 Ferrari F1 car, it literally was begging for mercy after going against the "glue bike".........all shall bow down to the glue bike. Oh yeah, it only costs 15K, performance of F1........but for teenagers! :crackpipe:

GMC Syclone, it was only produced for one year. Every time I see one, or a picture of one I get excited. It's a turbo 6 AWD truck that was capable of running 13.5's right from the factory. Not as fast as a lot of exotics, but definantly good for a truck. This will be the next truck I buy.

If I could own any car in the world, it would one of the five Corvette Grand Sports made back in '63. Very amazing cars, each one made was unique. They were made to compete with the Shelby Cobra, which they all beat. The only cars back then that could beat them were the Ferraris.
