Identifying ZC year

Ok, I cannot figure out what year my ZC engine is. I have the DOHC version with the black valve cover. I know they are suppossed to be stamped on the head near the dip stick tube handle and I have seen pics of this, but I do not have that stamping on mine. Does anybody know of another way to tell? :banghead:

there is a stamp on the head near the exaust ports in little circles, that will say, 88, 89, 90 or 91 this is the cast year not nessesairly the motor year, but usualy pretty close.

Yea, as I stated in my original post, I know it is suppossed to be there, but it is not. That is why I am looking for an alternative method to determine the year. As I stated, the black is stamped ZC, the Honda symbol is on the exhaust side, the bolts for the vale cover are on the sides, etc...so I know it is a ZC, but I cannot determine the year. Is there any other head that could have been put on a ZC block that would look like that. I got this motor from Nippon a while ago, it has been sitting in my garage waiting for me to stop being lazy. Yea, I know where it is suppossed to be and what it is suppossed to look like, but I just don't have any markings that make sense. I think I have one circle near the number one cylinder that has a 1|1 in it, IIRC. What cylinders is that between in the pic FourthGenHatch? TIA.

Mine was easy to tell, it is a 92-95 cuz it has the map sensor on the tb and the 92-95 fuel rail, but I have never looked to see what year it is exactly...
