Sorry dude, but why did you waste money on getting an xbox? The graphics are more or less out of an arcade game. Hardly realistic. IMO, PS2 is far superior.

I don't plan on getting one. But how do you like yours? My friend got one on release day, but we haven't been over to his apt to see it yet. However he comes over to my place to have SuperMonkeyBall marathons on the GameCube :D

PS2 is hardly better than Dreamcast IMO there are better games for dreamcast then there are for PS2 (and i have both systems) the graphics on the PS2 are good but only just slightly better than DC. There are games that are just as good graphic wise as most PS2 games.
X-Box is way better than PS2
PS2 doesn't even support multiplayer games, while the X-Box comes with a built-in broadband thing, so you can use your cable to play the games against other people.

Are you sure you have a PS2?
If so then prehaps just havnt heard of a wee thing called i-Link?
or what about the multiplayer mode on all the GT games?
or the 4 player mode in games like Time Splitters?
Or two plyer Time Crisis 2?

I concur with Moppie. And yes 2k1 AE I do have a PS2. I've played Gamecube and Xbox, yet I still think PS2 is better. BTW, Dreamcast is just another one of those Sega flukes that just gets washed out by the competition. You are intitled to your own opinion, but you need to make sure it is justified.

In your first comment. I don't believe that you are actually serious in making that comment. First reason is because, you're speaking about the new PS2 with the new games for it. Fact of the matter is that it just came out and if you want to talk about selection well, PS2 can still play regular Playstation games, thus, waaay bigger selection than DC. Second reason, DC did have great graphics, but the games that it had were weak and not very challenging or have real good replay value.
As for your second comment. PS2 does support multiplayer games, i-Link, as stated by Moppie. You can even set it up where you can play on multiple screens if you choose to do so.
Side note: "Broadband thing" is called a modem/DSL imitation(can't think of a better word right now:rolleyes: )
You can also play on the internet. About the only that I see that X-Box has over PS2 is that it has a hard drive. Graphics to me are not that much better than PS2, though they do have some spectacular looking games.
However, I will reiterate my previous postion on the X-Box, it will meet the same fate as did the DC. I just don't see it as a product that will have longevity. All the hype now about it being sold out and shit will die down. I've heard more bad things about it than good as of late. Some Microsoft users can probably relate when I say "lock up". But I don't have any documents to back that statement, only here say from people at the expos that say after a while they had to take down the systems because they just froze up and shit. I would hate to be in the middle of a very complex game, and having that happen to me.

I own a PS2. I bought it just so i could play GT3, and GTa3. IThe first thing i said to myself(and 4 of my friends who bought it) all said the same thing "this thing sucks" I am not saying it sucks, itsa good system. But for ALL the ype sony put out, i would have thought it was AWESOME. It is only slightly better graphically than DC(but noticeable)
These are LAUNCH figures.. 2nd gen games are always better graphics wise.. Dc ran 2million polys/sec. PS2 runs at 4-5 million polys/sec. Gamecube is 4.5-6 million polys/sec. And Xbox runs at 7.5-9million polys/sec. Xbox has far superior graphic capability over its competition.
I want an Xbox, and a Gamecube. I think Halo is tyte, plus some others are going to be tight. I think microsoft hyped there a lot, but the graphics are backing it up. I do think it will do great at first, then die after.
I have played xbox, and cube at my friends house (he is a loyal Nintendo guy, but her bouight both to get games for both) He says the Xbox has good graphics, but the games arent as good, but close. I personally cant stand the xbox controller, its too uncomf, and the buttons are too close. Now the cube controller looks like a fisher price toy.. Looks gay, but its a lil small, but its comfy, and I like how each button feels diff..
Overall I think Xbox and Gamecube are better systems graphics wise than the PS2 (the #'s prove it, altho dave mirra for cube looks like a n64 game)
I think ps2 will win again this time (simply because i personaly think since psx was so good, no matter how crappy of a system sony puts out, it will sell, since the original was so great)I think Nintendo will get a close second. You cant kill Nintendo, theyve been around for 20 yrs. Experience means things. plus ther Gameboy Advance has sold way more than the ps2. So Nintendo is making more than sony in the game market since they basically have a monopoly on hand helds.
If nintendo makes a game, its going to have good graphics. This aint so for 3rd parties (dave mirra for ex, graphics suck ass) I know my friend who just has an xbox says he played cube, and the graphics wee worse than dc. Its cuz he played a 3rd party game with shit ass graphics... I know of about 10 games made by 3rd parties for PS2 that have dc quality graphics since they dont know how to make games.
I dont think anyone should say a system sucks totally, all three have there advantages.
sony : 3rd party support
Nintendo: experience and, they have 4 times the 3rd party support this time over the n64
Microsoft: graphics, and infinite cash

Hybrid Boy basically said the same thing i meant
all i said is PS2 doesn't come with built-in internet multiplayer support..... and i think that's bullshit
all the i-Link does is connect PS2s to each other
and all the stuff is just my opinion.... i think that the PS2 graphics are better but only SLIGHTLY not a really huge difference. and Sega really does make the best games IMO there are ALOT better games for DC then there are for the PS2
don't judge it by it being a fluke.... it was a really good system, ahead of it's time IMO and bad marketing is to blame for it's downfall
LiuBei: i did justify my statements...

actually, my friends and many others added to the downfall. DC games were easy to pirate... Simply d/l the games off the internet, burn them on a cd, and use a boot disc if needed.
