help with brakes

when i push down on tha brake pedal, it starts creaking pritty bad.
it sounds dangerous...
what may cause this??
how can i fix it?
any info will be mad..

is it the pedal, or the front/rear brakes that creak. does it do it engine off/on?

Yeh its the brake pedal that creaks when you push it down to brake.
and it does it with the enging off( i think, i have to check)

1.look for bulkhead/pedal bracket fractures.
2.check pivot bushes on pedal for wear and dryness.
it may help if you can disconnect the pedal from the pushrod to locate problem.
if pivot bushes are noisey,use a lubrication spray.

if its a 4 runner or pick-up there was a campain and they replace the pedal assy.
