Restoration project: 1/16 '78 Corvette

While my other projects are on hold I thought I would see if I could finish this 1/16 AMT Ertl 25th Anniversary Corvette which I started when I was a kid. Basicaly its a crap kit, the front bumper is short by about 1mm on one side, the back bumper is too wide and the roof pieces for the targa top dont even come close to fitting so it should be a bit of a challenge :icon16:

looks like one hell of a challenge, any idea on its color?

Well it was originally airbrushed with Testers stop light red, but I dont have an airbrush at them moment so Im thinking a spray can of Taminya Mica Red... I think in the end I might just make this one up curb-side as like everyones said the detail is a bit sad.. unless anyone can point me in the direction of a better 1/16 engine, I dont think the one in there Is worth saving..plus theres a few bits missing
