Okay I just want to know what V-8 engines will fit in my 1989 jimmy 2.8 liter, And can you tell me where to get these engines from. Please reply thinks

and buy their S-10 swap manual. It has over 90% of everything you need to know, except it may not have a lot of LS1 swap info.

also has motor mount , tranny adapters, headers specifically for V8 swaps into S-10/S15 series.
I've done one such swap, a '90 TPI 350 into a '87 S-Blazer.
Pretty much any small-block: Vortech, TBI, TPI, LT1 and LT4 will fit. LS1's will also fit, but more fabrication needed, fewer off-the-shelf parts available.
Make sure to get the engine, tranny, ECM and engine wiring harness INTACT from a single donor vehicle. Mixing and matching stuff will drive you crazy and end up costing more.
