LS vtec vs Eclipse rs

i have an Integra ls vtec but the thing is that its an automatic,and i was just wondering if i would be able to beat mt friends 96 eclipse rs stick. His car has an intake and headers. I was wondering if i would be able to beat him. Any info would be helpful, thanks

i think it will fall on driver skills, but i yours is automatic lol. dont really need skills for auto i guess. i think you might win because you got vtec not by much though.

dont underestimate the eclipses, plus the auto trannies add a bit of time. Just curious if you're gonna switch to 5 speed.

ok are you trying to say that you have an Integra LS with a V-tec engine (cause they don't come with those) or do you have a LS V-tec as in LS bottom end and V-tec head ? Either way I think you should beat him cause I've driven a few Eclipses and unless they're turbo's they're not that fast.

The Eclipse RS with header and intake will more than likely lose to you. BTW you have an LS bottom then vtec. with an auto. Ive drove many autos out there that seem to be just as fast as manuals. So i dont even consider that a factor in a race (all you gotta do is Brake then press gas up to 3k rpm and your set) You should be able to beat an eclipse RS 5speed. Unless he has skills beyond eternity and you miss the light.

Seem. Look at actual times and you will notice a difference. Ever wonder why GS-R's do not come in automatic. Its pointless, if you want a performance car why get an automatic? Just to say, I have this car or that. Its ok, but dont be suprised when lesser cars can beat you. Some cars do have nice auto trannies, but not all.

dude the eclipse rs's are extremely slow.......i know that becuase my old gf used to have one and i hated it......you're car should be pretty quick....i know that the ls/vtec hybrid is supposed to be faster than the gsr(which i have) even though it is an auto i think you should be baler to take him
