compustar auto start

my alternator belt got loose and started making noise, and the next time i went to start my car, my autostart didn't work. the car still started with the key, but now my autostart won't work. any ideas?

okay now it has happened twice in the past 24 hours that it says someone's paging me (there's a spot on the windshield to 'page the owner of this vehicle') but no one was there. could it just be my remote?
