94 Jetta, automatic -- Towing Technique

I had my 91 Jetta, with automatic transmission, towed to a garage twice for a starter issue. Both times the Tow Truck operator towed it with the rear wheels up and the frontwheels on th eground.
Shortly after the car was returned to me the second time, the transmission failed. The Tow Truck Operator, although stating that he is not 100% sure that his towing caused the problem, has taken responsibility for this issue ...so far ... and had the transmission replaced for me with a rebuilt transmission ... it's been a nitemare for me because they have installed two transmissions and now, after getting the car back a second time .. the car stalls when i put it into gear.
They've taken it again and informed me that it is the Neutral Safety switch which is causing this issue. They'll fix it at thier expense but say it is not related to the original transmission issue.
ANYWAY !!! my request is for anyone who may have the documentation on proper towing technique for this car. and the consequences of improper towing technique. What else can I expext to go wrong?
I'm afraid he's going to cut me loose soon and I'll be alone at the side of the road. I'm preparing for legal action if needed.
Thanks ... sorry such a long post
