1969 Camro ignition lock. HELP!!!

I am trying to swap out the ignition lock cylinder on a 1969 Camaro. Following the CHilton's instructions we got the wheel, directional unit off. Now we should stick a screwdriver in to release the cylinder. I don't see where! They say you have to break the flashing, but I am not sure what that means! Can anyone help? Thanks.

Same here I am stuck. I had a little hand out that came with my new ignition lock. The screw driver tip broke then I was told to drill it out but it won't work. Now where we were sticking the screw driver was in the long slot located on the top right and the slot above it where you can see a copper or silver spring. I worked on this for hours and only managed to brake the screw driver. So Chilton says to break the flashing?

Did you get it off. If not just drill it for I finally got mine off.
