gauge cluster

Does anyone know if gauge cluster are interchangeable? I bought a cluster on ebay because my fuel gauge and temp gauges were not working! I installed the new one and now all of a sudden everything is haywire- like when i turn on my hazard lights they blink on my dash along with the bright light indicator as well as my rpm gauge fluctuates rapidly and my speedometer cuts off- but the i turn my hazards off and my speedometer comes back online! any ideas- it looks like its the same cluster as the one that was stock!

You must have some wires crossed or some are connected wrong or some wires are shorting out.

The problem is that you are tring to put a obdII cluster into a obdI car. All you have to do is take the gauges out of the cluster(they are held in by 3 screws) then put them into your old cluster.
The reason that they are functioning wrong is because the wiring on the cluster is different between the obdI and obdII. It is a simple fix, I had to do the same thing myself (indiglo incident :banghead:)
