Problems when a/c is on

When i have my a/c on in my 91 crx dx, if i dump it, when it redlines it makes a loud noise, it sounds like a BOV lol not really but its somin like that, i kno i should have my a/c off when racing but y does it do that n e wayz, it only happens when my a/c is on, could that be a sign of other problems wit my engine? :feedback:
