ok i alrdy know what im doing with my engine going turbo this is no crappy question its one that i can;t find an answer to anywhere i need to know how much boost and or hp the stock aluminum(sp) block can handle im not about to build up a nasty engine and blow the f*ckin block in 2 seconds im gonna be running this setup on a d16 with all performance internals bored cylinders nasty port and polished head and valve job the whole 9 yards im going to do this right.

on a stock d16...wouldn't take it above 7 psi. I'm sure it could handle up to 10, but I wouldn't risk it. Depends on the condition of your engine too

I think 9psi should be fine what year of d16 is it?

1995 wel then how can i re-enforce the block or is there an aftermarket steel block?

you can resleeve it or if your on a budget you can use a blockguard

If want a seriously built motor it'll cost ya some bucks. I just browsed around and found this one but they seem alittle pricey to me. Then again are all pricey for the same setup. Think this one runs like 4k. But I'm sure it'll hold a good 500 HP.

for about 1500 you can buy JE pistons, Eagle rods, and Darton sleeves from www.raceeng.com that should help you out a lot, then you can get some machine work done to the block to strengthen it further
