HELP me decide

im looking at a 1989 240sx with some problems... and i want your guys expertise on what it may be....ok first i went up turn the car on and the pedal needs to be pushed a specific way so that the clutch will catch and also when i was driving it the RPMS were high as hell and i wasnt go fast at all....does anyone kno what it wrong with it? please help....and also im probly gonna get it either way but does anyone kno where i can find RB26dett mounts or anything that would help me swap it in easier?

im no pro but it sounds like the clutch is fried... does it feel like its semi-engaged all the time??

before you replace the clutch... check the slave and master cylinders... cuz its cheaper to fix those than get a new clutch

the clutch is definitley almost gone. if the pedal feels really weak and goes to the floor easily, it could be both the clutch and master/slave cylinders. in either case, the person trying to sell it to you didn't take good care of it. look for a different one on www.autotrader.com.


you can find motor mounts from unstable hybrids i believe, but it would be faarrrr easier to swap in a rb25det or rb20det.

get the rb25... bore it out to a 2.6 .. there you go
