Not sure if this is the right part of the honda forum. I was wondering are the EBC brake rotors any good??With EBC Green Stuff brake pads.

I had the Green Stuff 2 years ago and they were crap. I know others who've had the Red Stuff = crap. So there's my experience with them :)

I use EBC green's & like them very much - Red's are for track only. For rotor's go with Brembo.

To me EBC makes crap. I do, however, love Brembro their Big Red kit is amazing. I don't know if they make a Big Red Kit for Hondas.

When I had the EBC Green Stuff they lasted about 3 months and they were glazed smooth as glass. My stopping power sucked after that.

I currently use Brembo blanks and Hawk HP+ pads. You want to talk about stopping power. The only problem with the HP+ pads is they dust alot and the dust is corrosive so you have to wash your wheels off alot. But I mainly got these brake pads for autocrossing. I also run HPS pads for daily driving, but stopping power is of course less.

I used AEM pads last year and took 1st in the region, and those were pretty good pads. This year I took 1st also though :)

Next year I'm trying Carbotech pads since they are supposed to dust less.

I have EBC green stuff pads on my front rotors and I really dislike them... my braking quality sucks! stopping takes a ton of pedal effort and quite a distance plus I have a slight jitter in my steering wheel. of course I am comparing this to the stock brake system my old Miata had which was very, VERY good...

I cant wait to get my brake system all fixed up! :naughty:

CivicSIracer... do the brembo rotors rust? I like those rotors that are coated so as not to rust... the rotors I put on my previous car rusted and I hated it. Oh and by rust I don't mean where the pads contact, I mean the hats or whatever they are called.

The jitter you feel is a warpped rotor. You should get yourself a new set of rotors and brake pads. Always replace them together if you can that way the bad beds-in to the rotor. And make sure you bed in your brakes correctly. Do five 50-0mph at medium pressure. And 3-4 30-0mph stops at heavy pressure.

Yes the Brembo rotors do rust and they look awful, but I painted my rotor hats with brake paint.
