forced induction

I am a 17 yr. old senior in a georgia high school. I have an opinion that the majority, if not all vehicles in the future will have forced induction. This will reduce emissions, reduce vehicle weight by using smaller engines, increase engine life, and increase gas mileage. If you have any thoughts on this I would greatly like to hear them.
