Some one Help my Speed!!!

Ok guys,

First of all I would like to say hi to everyone....Im a newbie

Ok, this is a new deal to me cuz I have owned a camaro for years...
So now Ive got my speed and of course I wanna make it even faster. So I guess my simple question is........where do I get anything for it? I have found nothing! Will hoods for a Protege fit the Speed? Same with tail lights? ......can someone hook me up?

Im looking at a Carbon Fiber hood for an 02 protege........and it looks like the same hood. So, Im assuming the tailights are the same size too....???

All 99-03 proteges share the common parts. But you do know that taillights and a hood aren't gonna make you any faster right?:) Check out these instead, all prices are approximate: intake($200), exhaust($300-1200), intercooler($900), or if you want the best bang for your buck, go with a boost gauge(about $80-100 for a decent one) and manual boost controller($50). Just don't go turning up the boost too much now ya hear;)

get the new evo hood it fits ive seen the designs for the speed with it, its insane

Yeah I know that it wont make it any faster but it sure would add to the looks. That evo hood is the one that I have been looking at. One question though........You know how the middle part is Carbon Fiber and the outside part isnt..... Do you order the color or do you have to get it painted? I know its probably a dumb question.....but hey what can you do?

With the boost controller...how much of a HP gain am I gonna see? All Im wanting to do is get into the 13's, which I think is more than reasonable. I hope anyways..

The WW EVO hood comes unpainted, and the whole thing is CF. The mp3 on their website is a show car, and the production hood is not painted on the sides.

HP gains in turbo cars are hard to estimate. There are just so many factors involved like elevation, temperature, etc. But a good rule of thumb is about 12hp per 1psi increase. So if you want to run in the 13's, you probably need to run in excess of 10psi, and to do that you have to do other things so the car can handle it. You can't just turn up the boost to 12-15psi with all of the stock components, not for very long anyway;). Intake and full exhaust are good starters. Intercooler and blow off valve(BOV) are also good things to get, because the IC piping and the stock bypass valve(BPV) have been known to leak under high amounts of boost. You might also consider emanage, which is being worked on right now by a couple of owners, or some other sort of fuel/timing control. Colder plugs are a must at higher boost levels, the stock plugs are platinum, which is not good for preventing detonation.

Running 13's in this car is not an easy task. It rules all on the autocross, and that's what it was designed to do. You need a lot of work to turn this thing into a dragster;). I have done a lot of what is listed above, and if I went to the track and ran some race fuel, and 12+psi, I think mine would run low 14's, maybe a real high 13.

The IC core is the biggest allowable without having to cut the bumper beam, which in most cases voids your insurance if the front end is ever damaged. Their FMIC kit is amazing, plain and simple. I have driven for 60 miles, boosting the whole way, then gotten out of the car and felt the IC core and it was cold. The endtank design, and the direct routing of the piping are also very impressive. The piping is all mandrel-bent SS, and all connectors are 3ply silicone/nomex. The quality is outstanding, to say the least.

yeah aftermarket tails for regular protege will fit your speed. me and my homeboy did it on his speed. go to corksport.com and they have anything you can possibly image for your speed. turst me. laterrr
