i got killed??......sorry its so long

i have a 98 mustang V6 that i bought off the guy who does my machine work on my other cars(47chevy, 23 t bucket, 67 short wide) im all for american muscle but respect a decent ride regardless of make, anyway after i got new exhaust and tires the guy i bought it from said he had it running 12.90s (turbo) and i should run mid 12s no problem. so my next weekend off (2 weeks ago) i was headed out to my local strip and had already prepared for the race ( high octane fuel, emptyed out spare tire, speaker boxes and amps etc...) i was sitting at this stoplight and this honda civic with the typical wing and coffe can exhaust pulls up to me with a passenger signaling for me to race him, the light turns green and they take off like we are running for titles while i loaf off the line a few miles up the road i catch him because i was abiding by the speed limit so he trys to race again from a 65 mph roll. we hit the next light and both of them are laughing and the driver is revving the engine again so take mine to 3500rpm and when the light turns a i blow this guy away i had every intention of losing him as i looked in my rearview after a minute he was back a ways but not as far as i expected i would say about 10-15 lengths. wel li made it to the strip and after signing in went to the concession. i noticed te same accord pull in and they guys parked next to the concession, they got out and immediately started telling another guy in a crx how they blew away this mustang on the way up there. i didnt say anything to him and just went on my way. well aftr racing a new gt in my first race i pulled off a 12 .66 @ 107!! he redlighted. i checked out my car and got back in line and when i pulled up to the staging lane i looked over and saw the same kid in the honda with the other guy videotaping him attempting a burnout in street tires. lol the sound was terrible. so i staged and waited on the other guy and when he rolled up his window i noticed he didnt have a dial-in ( we were running brackets) ha staged and our lights went off at the same time, after i hit the end i pulled on up to the booth and got my slip, i had ran a 12.58 @ 109 mph with a decent r/t and he ran a respectable 13.72 at 98 with like a 600 something r/t on the .000 time. he gave me he worst look after he passed me while i was just laughing at him. so to the guy in in Tulsa, OK in the black civic with white rims and toyspeed racing sticker in the back..... your car is fast and a very clean looking ride but you did NOT kill my stang in I-44 plus it wasnt a cobra its a V-6 s otell your buddy in the gray CRX you was just kidding. lol hope to see you there again cause last weekend i ran 12.30 @ 118 and im ready to go round 2!!

U stupid capitalization of every word makes me think u are the guy who used to go by VSOP on V6Power, U did that all the time there. U are a known liar and general idiot, and basically got chased off of V6P for your antics. I don't remember for sure, but I'm thinking you also ripped off a couple of people on business deals there.

sorry man its not me, but my caps lock is on because like i said, i am at work. when you type a reply in caps lock it only capitalizes the first letter. to all the honda guys, the mustang forum is kind of lame and doesnt have the lively topics like this one. i dont bash on imports and have mutual respect for all cars. there is no other place to post any kills in mustang forum but just thought you gyus might get a kick out of the story. if it makes a difference you can switch around the mustang and the civic if you want

So you beat him by 10-15 cars on the street, but only by a second at the track? I don't know, not calling bs or anything, but that doesn't really add up..

it wasn't a v8, it was a boosted v6.......
i've seen a crx beat a shelby cobra with a ford big block, so yes a crx can beat a v8.

And 12secv6stang there is a racing forum on AF and in that forum there is a street racing forum and also a drag racing froum so keep stuff like this in there please.

as stupid as this guy may seem, it is true for a few reasons
1) i know him and the guy he bought the car from, he helped me do the same thing to mine
2)i have saw the car run 12.80s before he bought it and i know he modded it more.
3)fast V6's are coming more common,(mostly due to import tuning i believe)
4)as much as i like reading the Mustang forum, there is more diversity in here and more conversational topics with more replies

now whether this story is true, i dont know but i do know he has a fast car. if anyof you would like to see pics of my engine, im sure it looks the same as his externally.

my bad.. it was a civic, but like i said in an earlier post, i am ignorant on imports. oh and high flow..go to mustang forum and look under the thread lame forum... happy?
