just wondering who out there has an electric, like myself and has the pleasure of whipping some other guy with a nitro powered rc,
i myself only have a 12 turn double pulse r motor and an m sonik 3 8 turn capable esc and took on two mates one had a tg10 and the other had a modified tg10 with a is it a 2.0 petrol motor not sure, but i kicked both of them last night, i had it from the start bang straight away they ate my dust haha, so just wondering who else out there has done that?!? also im only running a hpi sprint so they were quite amazed haha...go the electrics i say :evillol: :evillol: :evillol:

everyone knows Nitro is no match for electric...I mean look at who holds the land speed record for an 1/10 RC car...its an electric HPI.

i've been racing r/c cars for about 6 years now, and have never owned a nitro. i find electrics far superior. like the 8 cell, 15 double powerd, rear wheel drive, torana body clad tamia f103rs i'm building :smokin:

Torana body? Pics? Where did you get it? How much did it cost?!?!
Are you an Australian? If so, where abouts are you?

so your into toranas are you?? incase you didn't notice, lc is a torana, and my first car. hence lc boi. i'm now doing up a lj. the rana body i was talking about is a lh slr5000 (the one without the scoop), and i'm gonna paint it in lx slr 5k livery (not a9x, so the missing scoop will actually be accurate). i am in australia, rockhampton queensland to be more precise. the body set me back $45, and i will have to ask the guy at my local hoby shop were he got it from. looks prety good, bit boxy but it's a torana, so i just HAD to buy it. no picky's yet, it's not even mounted on teh car yet :cwm27:

Even though I don't drive my TL-01 too often anymore, if I do find a Torana body I think I will have to buy it! Although being so boxy it won't be the most aero-dynamic body, but hey, Aero-dynamics isn't everything.... :sunglasse

Speedys? 3 wires? Sorry, I lost you there....

brushless motors require three wires. one for +, one for -, and one that automatically adjusts the timing.

Ohh. I am still using the stock 540 in my TL-01. I don't think I will bother upgrading, mainly because the chassis doesn't have that much potential. If I plan on putting that much money into an r/c, I would probably buy a better electric chassis.

yeah, there worth a bloody fortune. gotta luv the tl01's though :) . i recon with a 16 tripple should bring the fun back into it, and a certain torana body would bolt strait on.......
