here we go.

i'm a pretty big honda guy, but i want to try something different. a guy i know had a 96 eclipse rs with a blown motor. so i picked it up. no way no how will the n/t motor go back in. the question i have is, how difficult is it to put in the 1g turbo motor? could you guys point me to any good sites with the info needed to do this swap? i am very car literate so anything short of imposible is doable. just let me know what i'm getting into.

thanks

its been done but its gunna be a pain in the ass and a shit load of work!! you are gunna need a new transmission, and i'm not positive but probably new axles too. you are goin to have to weld new motor mounts in...rerun all the hoses and wires, new ECU and harness, most likly new linkages for the clutch and shifter, coming down to it, just build that engine, turbo it and put it back in, it will be much cheaper, thats what i did!!

There are 2 things an engine swap like this could need.

1.) a Crap load of money!

or

2.) a Technician with a fully stocked shop with welder and a heck of allot of patience and ingenuity.

If you have either of those, the rest is easy.
