I think i have promblem plaz help!!!!

i bought a racing air intake for my 2001 ex civic...... but it looks alot diffrent from what i have seen on other peoples cars . It has a short phat tube the filter on the end looks alot bigger than what i have seen also..... i was thinking maybe somehow i got a short ram intake .....or is a "racing" intake going to be diffent i am lost plz help

lol, a racing intake eh? If the tube is short (only 2-3 feet long) then yes, it's a short ram intake instead of a cold air intake

Try not to worry so much about how things look. Many times, what is popular may not always be what is correct. For example, bell bottom polyester pants and thin sweatbands were once very popular during the 70's and 80's. But, I digress.
Plastic tubes block heat better than polished metal tubes, but some people prefer the chrome because they like the way it looks.
