I was fiberglassing my Z3 fenders today and while doing so I got an idea. I was going to make a mold and try to make a piece that would hold two gauges that would go in between my consule and dash. I don't know what to do though. How much do these sections cost? I don't want a gsr consule I want something like a SiR consule or to make something like that. Anyone made a custom section like that before?

if your looking for a center vent thingy, then get a piece of metal panel, maybe 1/8-1/4" thick, cut holes for your guages and just run the wires back under the dash.

I think he's referring to the space below the radio - just above the shifter console. There is a OEM console that fits there. A number of people here have them & can provide a pic. If I remember right it is the 'optional audio console' & houses the ashtray & lighter.

Good luck finding one though. They're not available from Honda anymore. I looked everywhere & just ended up going with the GSR console.
