Okay, right now on my 91 LX, I have Accel Sparks w/NGK plugs and a K&N air filter in my modified stock air box (performs better than intake, wierd?) and a magnaflow strait pipe exhuast.

I want to get headers, and an AEM right side engine pulley as well as MSD ignition & and distributor kit. What else could I do (WITHOUT trubo charging or NOS) to my engine d15b2?

Oh yes, and also, does anyone know how the heck you can get a hold of some "JDM" amber corners for the sedans?? The only thing I could think of was tranparent amber paint, this blows because they don't sell it in a can anymore. But I can get it in bottles, then I have to reduce it and blah blah. Thanks-

::EDIT::

Oh yes, already did the MPFI swap.

You can get this stuff from a craft store like Michaels that is made by krylon and is called something like stained glass in a can... check out www.homemadeturbo.com and they have a how-to for doing tail lights, and, as far as I know, they make this stuff in all different colors. It goes on thick and makes a really cool looking opaque color. Other than that, you could get a cam (although I don't know offhand of any aftermarket cam for the d15b2), get underdrives for your a/c or alternator, header will definitely help, cold air feed of some sort, and lightening will all improve performance.

You could always do the MPFI swap.

I would go with a DOHC ZC swap....long blocks can be had for ~$500.

Dont add a crank pulley, unless you get your motor balanced to it.

I gave Ami a set of "jdm" amber corners for a sedan, maybe she still has them.

You could do a MPFI swap.....start out by buying my 89 PM6 ECU!!

I would say i'm pretty sure you can put in an SI cam right? and i know if you can do that theres alot for the SI cam wise. Or do a mini me swap. But your motors kinda maxxed out for what it is.

You can always do a port and polish job on the head. Don't do it yourself unless your experienced at it though. Since you got a MPFI swap then get larger injectors and a fuel pump. Also a newer intake manifold and ported throttle body would be good.

Thanks dude, got some of that Stain-glass Krylon, looks awesome! I got it at Micheals, every single craft store that I called didn't carry it, dunno why, but oh well. JDM Style corners for $6.49

a larger manifold maybe off an SI or something of that sort. if you want to keep the same block put some high compression pistons and some forged rods in awhile porting the head and getting a better cam. also while gettin a 3+ angle valve job

Amber is JDM! :cya:

If I were you I'd stop wasting money on the car all together or focus on the suspension or something. I really don't see the worth in dumping too much $ into the stock D15.

It's JDM Style, there is no real JDM corners for the sedans. Maybe you don't see the worth, but I love my car and my d15, and I will am working on it as I go, suspension will come after the engine is finished. Since I work at a body shop obviously it is easy for me to work on the apperance of the car. So maybe it is a waste to you, but not to me.

Dood, do what you want to your car, that's the whole idea. As for other performance mods, you can toss on a D16Z6 head (gets you about 120hp), get an A6 cam (which will boost you almost immdiately up to about 105 hp), or start building the bottom end for higher compression and better strength. You could also see about getting your crank lightened, balanced, or knife edged for better revs... just some ideas...

JDM is not a style, either something is JDM or it isn't.

Okay boss, whatever you think. But here is what I know, I'm not a "by the book" robot, and I think if it is not off the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) then it is NOT JDM, if I gave something the JDM look, that does not make it JDM, it just looks like JDM, hence JDM STYLE.

You're not understanding that JDM IS NOT a style. Its not a look, its a definiton of where certain parts are from.

i think what jerky boy means is JDM = Japanese Domestic (Domesticated...depending on who you ask) Market

i think what he's getting at is JDM describes the platform it comes from.

example....all car parts are fruit. jdm is an aple. usdm is an orange. either your an apple or an orange. you wouldn't be an orpple :grinno:

I think it is the LOOK of JDM not a style. JDM or not it all comes down to whatever your style is. Who give a rats ass if your neighbor (fellow board members) likes it or not its not there car! But on the issuse with the d15 I would for sure go with a z6 or y8 head and run a feild vtec controller (fuel controller) for vtec. The only thing is that it will not be smoggable in cali or a few other tight ass smog states. But you should get around 120hp (at the motor) with out any other mods. There are so many things that can be done cams, valves, port and polish, pistons, crank work, ect.. the list can go on. I would see how much your willing to spend it may be worth getting a d16z6 or y8 motor before you go thru all this stuff to improve your current d15.

hey, don't get me wrong....i'm just trying translate

i'm all about do what you like. jer figures go all jdm or nothing. no mixing and matching. whatever floats his boat. he would never have never stuck on a jdm front before a b16 swap. where i take what i like and mix and match. i have jdm spoiler, corners, and sidemarkers....no b16 here :evillol:

the beauty of it all.....we will forever have 2 different hatches as we have 2 different views. would be boring to have 2 identical rides.
