Hi guys-
Im new to this so bear with me. I have a 93 Ford Explorer 4WD and my starter is clicking on me. It wasnt immediate. It had a rough and whiny start about 3 times before it totally went out. My battery is juiced up and working fine. It was replaced 2 months ago along with my new altenator. What all should I check before breaking bread to buy a new starter?. I read a posting about the positive cable corroding down there and needing replacement. Is that likely?
thanks
Fredo

i had the same problem with my 91 explorer just about a month ago... my starter was completly shot... lol, so i took the head off it an put it on a starter i took off my 92 ford escort.. bolted it on an started her right up... if you dont know starters very well, pull it off yer truck an take it to a place like autozone (they do free starter testing) and will tell yew whats up with it. hope that helps man :)
