I have 2 kills to share this is one:

It was an older 5.0 Mustang LX coupe. The guy driving it was about 19-20 years old. He passed me on the road then slowed back down. I just idled by. He then caught back up and revved his engine at me. It sounded mean. I gave a rev back (couldn't help it). We caught a light together and I told him his car sounded mean. He answered back yeah its got some work done. It idled like it had a cam it was shaking the whole car and was pretty loud even at idle.

He said he liked my BOV. The light turned green and we both hit it. I took it easy out of the hole about 1/2 throttle. He pulled about a car ahead. Then I stood on it at about 5K in 1st. Took it to 7K and power shifted second. I litteraly flew past this guy. I really could not look at him though I was having a really hard time keeping it pointed straight. I must have had to correct it about 5 times while I roasted my 255 Proxes in second. By the top of second I was an easy 20 cars ahead. LOL!! I let off and let the flames fly then moved over to turn left off of the road. He hung back and never caught up. Finally he had to go by as I was stopped waiting for traffic to clear on the other side. We both gave a wave as he quietly putted by.

I do not get many people stepping up anymore. I would imagine this will take care of the Mustang crowd in town too.

I fooled someone into thinking that 1/4 mile time in my sig is my best.

I was shifting 2K RPM before redline and the car was not 100% we had not dyno tuned it yet when we ran it. Its the only time run I have made with it though so it will do. We were sort of tuning it at the track that night and found some issues. Like it breaking up at high RPMs. It ended up being fouled plugs. LOL!! I am stupid sometimes.

Someday I will head back out to the track and get a real time for it.

Thanks for the replies. I love all cars. I sold a 2000 Mustang GT Vert. to buy the Mini. My wife is driving a Dodge P/U truck right now and I told her next year we can sell it for a sedan. Thinking WRX STI or Evo or RX-8 maybe something else. I love all cars. So never interpret a kill from me as a put down. I roast kids in their riced out cars all the time but dont post the kills not worth the time to type it out. If I posted a kill its because I liked and respected the car I raced.

As far as a 100% 1/4 mile we will have to find out. Being that I ran 13.08 with 230RWHP a long time ago. I would expect to be very close to 12 flat now with 320RWHP.

I'll find a couple of pics and add them.

Here is a pic from a recent Autocross. Its actually faster in the turns than in a straight line. I have one other pic but its pretty big.

What kind of lightening did you have to do to get her to 2600lbs?

The car was light to begin with.

I do not have power steering. I have toyed with removing the A/C but black car + Florida = hot so I think it stays. I do use it from time to time.

The rims in the top pic are stupid light for starters those alone took 60 lbs off of the car. Those are 16x9.5 rims with Hoosier slicks they weigh 24 lbs per rim/tire.

I run a 10 lb dry cel battery that saved another 30 lbs. The full racing exhaust dropped more weight as well.

I have my corner weights somewhere I'll see if I can find them. It was roughly 650lbs per corner. Really well balanced. 50/50 front to rear side to side and diagonal.

Low Key - Nice ride. I got to drive a 4 cyl fiero years ago. My boss owned one. While the 4 cyl was anemic I could tell it was a very well handling car. I would imagine with the swap you did it is a blast to drive.

Nice job - Nice car.

thanks

yeah I owned an 84 with the 4 cylinder, wasn't my first choice, wasn't bad it handled that was about it, but then the next one I got was my formula with the 15 inch rims and redesigned suspension and the 2.8. Nabbed a 15.1@89 with the 2.8 not to bad.

The 3800sc makes it a whole new car, still have to fine tune it, but it sure does make the car a lot more fun. Still wish it was a turbo, so much more potential there.. oh well.

That is one great looking RX-7, that is my favorite body style. Keep up the nice work with it. I must ask, how much do you like your Profec B? I am thinking of buying one for my project.
