How much difference is there here?
I've heard the 2002 handles better and is quicker. However I like look of the old bodystyle better. Is the 2002 a much differnt ride where I should make myself like it?
Thanks.

i like the 2002 better. It took a little bit to grow on me, but once it did, the previous ones look almost outdated. i love both, but i'd get the 2002+ if i were you

The B6/8E Chassis is much better than the previous version.
The frame is a lot stiffer which makes the car handle much better.
With the sport suspension, the car is great.
There are little improvements all over, like active dampening engine mounts, new supplemental restraints, and better weight distribution.

Top Gear said that the new A4 is "longer, wider, taller and roomier" than the previous model. Of the interior they said it's "very much like the old car's. Which, in a way, is a fine thing. The attention to detail is impeccable, the controls perfectly useable, and the fit and finish spot on. The driving position is ideal too, the steering wheel adjusting for both height and reach and the seats being amongst the most firmly supportive you'll find. Rear seat space is now ample for the class, while the boot is deep and wide. Furthermore, in total eight airbags are standard, including pelvis-level side airbags up front plus head-level Sideguard airbags". The new car also has the option of the Multitronic CVT gearbox. When a car maker brings out a new model of an existing range, it's ususally much better than the car it replaces. Any flaws with the old version of the car have normally been ironed out with the new one, and that's why I'd go for the latest Audi A4.
(And I think it looks better! :iceslolan)

2002 is a better car overall. But you may win more races with a 2001 becuase they are lighter and more mods are available.
