1995 Aurora Turn Signal Relay

Where is the turn signal relay? Can my husband and I replace it ourselves? My turn signals are intermittent at best (mostly not working). They work well after a lot of rain or high humidity. We think it is probably the relay. Does this sound right? The manual only tells you where the fuse is located. I know some things on this car are very hard to get to but am hoping the relay is accessable. Thanks for your respones.

Remove the 3 or 4 small screws that hold the piece of black abs plastic under the steering column(lowest part of dash). Be careful w/ the OBD II connector wires, but position panel out of the way. Grab a small flashlight, get down on your back in there as far as you can and look straight up from the centerline of the brake pedal shaft and you'll see a 1" silver barrel secured by a metal clip. Pop it out, unplug it from the connector. I spent the extra bucks and got the electronic one. It's not any more quiet than the thermal units, but will outlast the car and is not affected by temp & humidity.

Not at all. I replaced mine hoping the electronic one would be quiet. It wasn't. If I only had half of the problems that some on this site have had with their cars, I would dump it in a heartbeat. It's just a car. Repairing your vehicle should'nt consume your life. I have had only three problems; a/c compressor exploded, radiator cracked(usual spot), and a misfire condition(cheap,non-Delco wires).

Thanks indy. I'm going to try to fix it this weekend.
