Prelude Trunk SpRing BroKeN - HelP

I just bought a 2000 Prelude and the previous owner messed up the trunk spring mechanism. The trunk spring supports make an X under the 6x9s. The left side spring support has "popped" out of the trunk support bar.

DOES anyOne know how to fix this? I tried to put it back into place, but couldn't figure out how it goes back.

could you show us a picture?

They will have to do it at a dealership.. those springs are under alot of pressure and the dealer has a special to tool to reinstall them....

I looked at the springs some more today and it looks like the person that tried to put it back in, put it in wrong.

*Could anyone send me a picture of their spring system in their trunk?*

What I really need to see is how the spring bar fits into the trunk supports. AND how the spring bars make the X... i need to see which one is supposed to go on top of the other.

*In my trunk, there is a black and white bar. Is this universal in Preludes?*
