check engine light comes on

i install my intake about 3 weeks ago. at first everything was fine then the check engine light came on. i reset the ECU and everything was fine again. a couple days later it came back on. does anyone kno what can be the problem? please help. should i be worried?

i had this happen for about 6 months...i took it to 2 dealerships. The first kept telling me the gascap was not tightened when i filled up so it comes on. After swearing that i tighten it, it happened again. It turns out i had a leaky gascap. they changed it at the dealership about 1 year ago and it's never come on again. hope this helps.

This happened to my car this past week. I went to the dealership and they hooked it up to the computer and there are two evaporation leaks. This only has to do with the pollution control so they shut of the light and told me not to worry about it. It's nothing that will cause me to break down. The car may be a little harder on gas but nothing to worry about. Hope this is your problem.

Me too, gas cap. But could have been altitude. One of my kids lives in Denver, gave it to them, and the check engine light never goes on now. We live higher than Denver, and it was on alot when we had it. Dealer said gas cap.
