starting problems

Hey sup, i have a 91 crx and my starter went out not 2 long ago, so i installed a new one and saw that my ignition was gone also, so instead of buying a 90 dollar ignition i got a push button starter, all i did was wire it to the hot and ground on the starter and 2 the inside of the car, but i have to have the ignition on or else it wont start... ok n e wayz, some times ill push the button and the motor will just turn over, and keep doing it without starting, could this be my fuel pump? or filiter? whut do u guys think

could be many things - the first things to check would be maintenance parts. When you turn the ignition on, the fuel pump should run for 5 seconds - if not your main relay or fuel pump may be bad.

1. inspect maintenance parts
2. check for spark
3. check for fuel pressure
