Motor swaps are ont cost effective at all on 95-99 NTs. Focus on turboing the engine you have, on either stock internals, or a built motor. Start with www.hahnracecraft.com

I am selling my 98 gs now so I can get a gsx. So my recommendation is to just get a gst or a gsx. But if you already bought the rs and are just picking it up then I would go with that hahn racecraft. Best idea for your money.

how much is this RS costing you?

unless its free you can probably put that extra $2000 and get a GST

the turbo that i would suggest would be the 14b or 16g if you plan to upgrade your internals right away but your best bet would be the stock T-25 if you dont plan to do any internal mods, it spools quick and doesnt have the potential to blow the piss out of your motor right away, i would suggest not to run it any higher than 10psi if your engine is stock...although i would upgrade and get longer headbolts!!! your gunna have to upgrade your fuel pump, upgrade your injectors, get better spark plugs, new wires, new coil pack, a whole new exhaust (3" is nice), you will need a turbo manifold for the 420a (ebay = cheapest), intercooler and piping (i would suggest front mount cause if your gunna get one anyway why not get a nice one), Blow Off Valve, you will need a MAF... and a ECU from a GST, oil lines for the turbo to keep it lubed, a boost gauge and a boost controller!! that right there is probably not all but is all i can think of off the top of my head, i will go through my parts list from my car tomorrow to see if i forgot anything, but your already probably lookin at pretty close to $2500 - $3000 range, that is if you get everything new, and doesnt inclued installation... so you shoulda just put that money towards a GST of GSX, but it also depends on how much you paid for the car, like me i paid nothing for my car and put about $4000 - $4500 into it... but that inclueds all the engine work and upgrades i did to it, i also did all the work myself, except polishing and porting the head, and boreing and honeing the block!!!! so good luck with whatever you may choose and if you need help i would gladly help you, you can email me at [email protected]

I'm not sure I agree with the ECU from a GST comment. That wont work with the harness on the NTs. And you cant change harness without changing all of the sensors. Keep the stock ECU, and do what hahn recomends. For 99% of people its easire, cheaper, and more importantly safer to stick with a kit like the one from HRC... For someone expereienced in turbocharging motors and the engine/fuel management theories and equipment involved, than sure you might be able to save a couple bucks by piecing it together. But I'm no NT expert... ;)

thanx for the info i have a 3 in" exhaust already. and new sparkplugs and plug wires. i was just wanting to know what would be best to start of with and what my car could handle. i help my friend 2 weeks ago put a t-28 on his prelude. he is pushing the lowest amout of psi on 260k plus. and has been going good for 2 weeks. i am new with eclipse and this style of car.

well when i did mine i drove it for about 3 1/2 weeks at 10psi and one day i decided to race it at 15psi to see if i could blow it and it did but it was at the end of the race when it blew, when i dynoed it at 10psi i was running about 225whp, so i would say the most the motor could handle is about 240-250whp, that is on stock internals... so good luck with that!!!
