a/c deleating??

my ac bearing locked up on me(again) so i decided to just remove it then realized u cant the way the pullies are setup. im fixing to do a rebuild and i dont want my ac anyways. ive looked but i can not find a kit to delete the ac. if anyone know of a place that makes one or if anyone has any ideas, and would let me know that be great

If I where you I would just keep the AC.......But im a fat kid that gets hot real ez (maybe thats why I drive a buick :lol: :lol: )

you can take out the a/c, i did it in my camaro...the trickiest part is find a belt that will fit...for me it consisted of using a rope to string around the pullies, measuring it, and then making about 6 trips up to the autoparts store trying to find the correct size belt...i think it ended up being around 155mm or something like that, really wish i had written it down for when i replace the belt :banghead:

Thanks for the suggestion Hypsi87 but the AC is definetly going. The car is fixing to be less street more strip. I already have my stroker kit, fixing to order heads and rear end. The car just isnt fast enough. Its a stock 95 Z28(except K&N) running 13.40s at 104.
As for just removing the compressor it didnt look like the tensioner would work right without the pulley from the AC, ill look again just to make sure. but if anyone has any other ideas plz let me know.
