I really didn't plan to do it...

...but I ended-up trolling for races last night...:evillol:
I was just going to Wal-Greens for a late night store run. It was pretty cool out (for Arizona) and I noticed that my car was loving it, and my clutch was holding up pretty good probably because it was nice and cool.
Anyhow, I found some people willing to play. Not much comp, honestly...but I probably shocked quite a few people with the sleeper http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/icon16.gif.
Race 1: 1992 SE-R vs Late-model Hyundai Accent http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/disappointed.gif
Okay...I did NOT troll for this one. I was just cruising, getting a feel for the car, seeing how it was running in the colder weather.
I noticed that the car was driving a bit aggressively, weaving in and out of traffic, trying to get ahead of a small pack of about 5 cars.
By virtue of me paying more attention than him to the flow of traffic, instead of just darting behind what seemed a faster-moving car, I ended up ahead of him, and eventually ahead of the whole pack, with a wide-open road in front of me. This was an outskirt type of road, with NO traffic ahead and traffic-lights exactly a mile apart each.
So, Accent-boy saw the break I saw, and as I kind of expected, followed right behind me. I was just in cruise mode, going about 50. I noticed that he made a decision to pass me up, and picked up his pace, trying to get around me...emphasis on the "try".
I decided to mess with him, and dropped back to 3rd (could've went to second), and punched it from there about 3/4 throttle, and slowly walked away from him and held it steady at about 4 cars ahead...I'm sure he was punching a hole in his floorboard. I slowed-down, approaching a light that just turned red in front of both of us. Dude flashed his high-beams at me right-before we stopped.
I wasn't going to race and waste my gas on him, I swear...until I noticed that the driver was some young kid with a baseball-cap backwards, looking all bad-ass. Hmmm.
I decided then and there that I'm going to HUMBLE this mofo.
I launched gingerly, considering my clutch's now weakening state, but I punched it HARD after that, speed-shifting and everything.
I gained about 2 cars in first, 3 cars in second, and another 4-5 cars in third. I was feeling generous, and considering I had open road for about a mile, I took it all way to about 100. When I looked back at about 95+ or so, he was easily about 20+ or more cars behind, based on his headlights. He was trying too, considering how far ahead his headlights were to the cars that were behind us at the light.
He got behind me at the next light, and as I go straight, he turned right...http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/banghead.gif.
I'll get less descriptive here, since I already wrote a novel above http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/tongue.gif.
Race 2: 1992 SE-R vs Lancer "OZ Rally-Edition"
Saw this car racing some truck and winning on the freeway. Chased him down, and beat him on the freeway. He flashed his headlights at me, and he turned his turn-signal on as we approached an exit. Maybe he thought he could do better from a stop http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/evil_lol.gif.
Well, there was NO traffic when we both exited. Went from a stop-light. Killed him by about ten cars to 80.
He flashed me again. I pulled over, and he asked what I had. I said "stock!"...and he said "I don't believe you!" and pulled off a bit mad. LOL.
Race 3: 1992 SE-R vs Honda CR-X
He had GS-R rims, lowered, exhaust. Lunged at him a couple of times until he bit. Beat him. By a LOT. Must've been a stock motor.
Race 4: 1992 SE-R vs Late-model Chevy Cavalier
Saw my race with the CR-X, figured he'll have a better chance. He didn't.
After the first race from a stop, I signalled if he wanted to go again...he didn't.
Race 5: 1992 SE-R vs Late-model Saturn
Less of race than it was a "It's merging ahead and I want it!" by the Saturn, and a "HAHA!" by the SE-R...
This was on my way home.
Race 6: 1992 SE-R vs Gen2 Integra with a b16 swap
How do I know this car has a b16? My buddy's shop did the swap. The car is VERY, VERY riced-out...you can barely see the orange paint through all the humongous stickers this car has. It has the requisite 747 wing. It has a dual-fart-can exhaust, and a DVD-player inside that was meant for home theater use. They just screwed it under the dash, under the glove-compartment.
Anyhow, as I was turning towards this access-road next to the freeway near my apartments, I see this car flying to get onto the freeway.
I saw an opportunity for one last hurrah before I retired for the night, so instead of taking the right lane to go home, I took the freeway merge to the left, and chased after him.
After I did, I repeated what the people earlier had been doing to me all night...I flashed my high-beams at him from behind for a second.
I got next to him, and I heard his "dual-exhaust" scream. I beat him by about 4 cars from a roll. I'm sure his wing was trying to push him over the edge...but just didn't have enough...http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/rofl.gif
He stayed behind me about 10 cars after that...even after I slowed-down to 60MPH.
I went home.

Cliff's notes:
Race 1: vs Hyundai Accent - wasn't pretty/car turned-off
Race 2: vs Lancer "OZ Rally-Edition" - ugly outcome/pissed-off opponent who didn't believe I was stock.
Race 3: vs CR-X - stock engine for both cars, bad outcome for him.
Race 4: vs Cavalier - learned his lesson the first time.
Race 5: vs Saturn - wanted to be ahead at a merge...http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/nono.gif
Race 6: vs Gen2 Integra with b16 - beat him on a highway roll...got embarrassed, and wouldn't get next to me afterwards.
I know they weren't really much competition. Lord knows I tried looking...but oh well....that's that. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/icon16.gif

Haha, quite the competition you had there, man....
When I was reading I thought that the Teg with the swap would've given you more of a run, but he must've been weighed down with all that stereo equipment...
lol, good kills anyways.
