I have a 91 Ford Escort, not a GT, and my rear drums siezed. I need advice on how to fix this problem. I dont ever use my parking brake so I was thinking on just cutting the cable. But I was told that I am going to have to remove the drum and then messs with the springs to losen them up. Any advice?

What you are telling has happend to me before what i did was (dangerous) with one person in the car on level ground and in N I push and pull until they poped loose thats when the person inside pushed the brake pedal. Thats the best way if you dont want to take every thing apart. I then pumped the brake pedal to check pressure. everything ok.
I you feel the pedal too low pump it and have it inspected.

The way I did my Sierra, was to drive forward then reverse a few times to break them from.

well, you will need you parking break to pass inspection. I suggest picking up som e rear disks from your local junkyard and switching them over. Personally i am not a fan of drums. good luck
