Hood Release Cable.

I need help. Though I'm a girl, I'm interested in learning things about cars..and I wanted to know if anyone would know where the Hood Release Cable is located in a 97 Grand Am GT? I don't have my manual, and I really don't want to buy a new one. Can anyone help me out?. Thanks.!

Ah, and I forgot to add, how can you access it from the front of the car. Well, actually from the outside, I want to test my car skills. So anyone please? Let me know.. Thanks a bunch!

you may be able to use a long flathead screwdriver and pop the 1st release from through the grille
