I have around $20,000 to spend on a car and i want the best i can get. I was thinkin about a supra but i wouldnt have $ for mods if i got one. Plz give me your idea on what car would be best for that price.

What are you goals, type of racing?

If you want straight line...get a Cobra
If you want handling...maybe a 3rd Gen RX7 (amazing grip w/just suspension and good tires)

If you have to drive it in the snow at all, Subaru Impreza WRX. If not, a BMW E36 M3 is a good choice in that price range as well.

I don't know about anyone else, but $20,000 just seems to scream SRT-4 to me. And if you actually have $25,000 you would have enough cash to throw on the Stage 1 kit from the factory. I would wait for the 2004 to come out. They will be comming with an LSD from the factory and it is a Quafi unit. However; this might mean they would cost a little more.

I have in the area of $20,000 to spend so if i find sumthin that i really like thats around 25,000 then i will probably be able to get it.

well for 25k you might be able to get a slightly used base 350z

or you could get a brand new srt4 if you want very very nice perfomance

or if you want a bit more luxury than an srt4 and are willing to lose some performance get an RSX

25K can get you into an Accord EX - good performance and one comfortable ride.

If you're thinking used (the supra in your example) then the sky is the limit.

You can find many good used cars for 25. You shouldn't have problems picking up a used, 350Z, S2000, C5(earlier one), Supra, etc. But if you want a new car, the SRT-4 sounds good. You can also pick up the RSX, Eclipse GT, Celica GT-S, etc. You have lots of choices. What about an MR2 Turbo? If thats in that price range I would definatly go for that.

Id buy a 86 civic and put a HUGE wing on the back. Chop the exhaust, and put a fake K&N cone filter striaght on your throttle body.

Then i would go to the flea market and buy thousands of dollars on Chinese and racing stickers (because we all know thats where the HP is).

I would then put 2 8" Boss subs on a 10000 watt boss amp wired to a Legacy head unit. Then i would get TONS of neons all over the car. Spray paint the hub caps gold (pimpin in class) and once you get your 15 year old slut, you are SET.

THen you have the best car money can buy.

I hate convertibles, so I would buy an used BMW Z-Coupe or maybe $25k is enough for an used M-Coupe. Gotta love The Shoe. :iceslolan
