the best short shifter...which one?

ok i have a 98 jetta vr6 and i hate the stock shifter on there...why is so god damn big, its hard to race someone when it takes like 5 seconds to shift between gears. what i want to know is which company has the best short shift kit and how much is it gonna cost me? please help!
