Hi,

I am planning on getting a hatch right after christmas.
Anyways, I have a D16A16 Si engine out of a 90' CRX sitting in my garage. I bought to swap into my 4 door but never got around to doing it. Anyways, I really dont have the time to swap the engine into the car with school and work. If I was to buy the hatch how much do you think it would cost to get that engine installed by a shop?
I know they would have to MPFI but all the rest is just bolt in.
I know I will have to buy the PM6 ECU and injector resistor box to provide for them. I live in Florida near Tampa, do any of you know fo any good shops in central Florida that could do it for me?
Thanks

How much would it cost a shope to just do an MPFI conversion?
If I supplied dizzy, ecu, injector box, and manifold?

i sujjest you swap over to mpfi first i believe that will half the difference between your engine's hp and the si's hp. your only getting a fiew extra horses i sujjest at least a zc engine, they are around the same price... i know a fiew good sights if your interested. such as the sight where honda dealers get their zc engines :boink:

Labor will probably cost you around 800 but I had to buy hubs, axles, ecu, and a whole bunch of other stuff (that the car needed anyway...MC...caliper seals...etc...) Wound up costing me alot more than I thought in the longrun...but the A6 should be alot easier than the y8 I put in so you may not have to spend as much as you think. I had mine installed at A&H Automotive in Delray Beach, FL.. They did an awesome job. Not sure about the Tampa area... I just called everyone I found in the yellow pages until I found a shop that did swaps.

Yea, im convinced I will probably just do the MPFI swap.
Then when I save enough money I will get a ZC or B18 engine.
How much would a ZC engine run me for a shop to install?
Thanks

here's a nice place to buy engines from. shipping is a bitch but prices are right.
