2.2vtec w/turbo or 2.3 w/turbo

I need advise on which engine to swap over to if i would like to install a turbo with it with out killing the engine and how much boost i can run with each engine. I will be doing the normal add ons (c/a/i, exhaust, chip, maybe MSD) but leaving the block stock if possible. Thanx.

turbo = 2.3
na = 2.2
na = 2.2

So i should go with the 2.3L (h23a) engine if i am going to turbo it. How much boost should i be able to run on it, if you know, with out ripping the block apart.
And the Vtec (h22a), if i was not running a turbo, can be only NA? Would a turbo ruin the engine?
