is the car still driveable?!?!?
How's the alignment of the wheels?
Was your steering damage?!?
Can you open the gas cap to fill your tank up?
I notice that one of your headlights is now worthless...considering it's pointing into the other lane. :licker:

one thing is for sure....your ride does look really GOOD lowered!!!!!!!!!! :) :D :)
when did you have time to put on your stock rims?!?!?!
Did you just happen to have those on when the accident occured???
Lucky you because you didn't damage those rims of yours as well.

the car was still drivable( I drove to my body shop like that) it's about 10 km from where I was ( but at a top speed of 50k, it took forever)...The stock rims were put on just a few days before the accident( cause my tires weren't aligned and at $300 per tire, I didn't feel like scrapping them yet)...what sucks also is I just filled up the tank like a day before the accident.. Suprisingly, the alignment and steering are fine( I guess is because the tires were inside the fender and not sticking out...as for the steering , it's all fine...
It all the garbage truck drivers fault....I was driving next to him when this happened...we were both going apprpx. 50km/h and he decided to cut into my lane which then he starts off by clipping my rear 1/4 which sends me sideways in front of the truck...I look out the window to see what the heck is going on and all I see out my window is his front Bumper( pretty scary:eek: ), during this , my car is sideways in front of the truck*during all this time, the truck was still pushing me...at least for a good 30 feet) when the driver finally realizes what the heck is going on and the fact that he's pushing a car sideways, he swerves out of the way which bydoing so, herips off my front end:mad: and sends me spinning to a stop in the middle of the interscetion...what a rush!:bloated: I was on the radio( the traffic report eheheh )
my body shop guys told me if I was that dropped( I was like 1.5 to 2 inches of the ground) I would've flipped when my car was being pushed sideways...
as for the design of the 5th gen accord...the on;y really that I didn't want to scrap it(the value of my car was $7000canadian...total damages $6600canadian) is because a) it was already hard enough to find this car in mint condition, b) it's a four door c)is an accord and d) MANUAL!
Natcc99...I can't open the gas tank door nor the rear door...but I am suprise that my windows were intact! and what sucks the most is that I paid $250 two weeks before the accident to fix my rust underneath the gas tank door! :alien:

whoaaaa that is one heck of a story there.
I'm sure while all of this was happening, you must have looked like this....
At least, I know I would :D
First thing is first....glad to hear that you are safe...considering that the truck hit your car on the driver side, where you were!!
I'm also glad to hear that the car is doing fairly well. Steering and alignment is good. I'm assuming the engine is fine since there isn't much damage there.
All you need is a few doors, and body panels. :) Right?
It's scary to think that your car would have flipped over if it wasn't lowered!
That makes me feel better because it's one more reason why we all should lower our rides :D
In addition, I'm amazed that you're alignment is all good considering you went sideways for 30 feet.
You're lucky that you changed your rims!!!
Now is a good time to get a new and wild paint job (if you choose) and a body kit!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
please....keep us inform about the updates.
For example, what are you driving now that the Accord is in the shop
in other news.
I should be getting an estimate this weekend for my own car. The 4th gen will be fix soon! I can't wait.

yeah, i can't wait to get my 5th gen back...I went thru a series of cars during all this ordeal...from a chevy malibu which I had to return because the brakes were dead( to the point of seizing) and a blown gasket, since they have nothing in the accord range left, they loaned me a Dodge Grand Caravan...I was pimpin' that thing for a week, lovin' it and saying to myself, the next project is a Honda Odessy slammed with bling bling's! LoL Fuel consumption was high so so took the Van back and gave me a Pontiac Grand Prix 2001 after that, the inssurance money ran out for rental, so my bodyshop guys lent me their courtesy car...a 1991 Honda Civic CX base model that gave me such a fr^&(* hard time---tell you in another story---fuel consumption is great...but NO POWER STEERING!!m It's blue with blue tints..I modded it a bit! eheheh cheap man's way:D

hahahaha...whoa, looks like you're going through a lot of cars there.
how long has the accord been in the shop?
make sure, if you can, take some pictures of the process.
i always like shots of the during section in a project.
it's fun to see the car disassembled into pieces and then put back together :)

yah, same color but its going to come out of the shop looking brand spanking new...now if there was only a way not to drive it thru winter! =(
as for the civic:D eheheh, the driver wiper arm broke, so I fixed that and put a longer wiper arm, works great now( it actually wipes the whole windshield), I screw all the loose screws back together, put some wiper wings, ehehe and even bought a mini strobe.neon for it( althought I'm keeping that for my 94):sun:
