99 Chev Silverado Shaking....

Hey all, I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab Base model.

This truck is absolutely perfect. Got it off the lot with 000003km's on it.

But one day all of a sudden it started to shake.

When Its cruising its not as bad. But when its still, it shakes alot.



Could this be the Driveshaft or the U Joints?

When it's still?

Does that mean that when you are stopped in drive the truck shakes, or do you mean when idiling in park or nuetral?

If it shakes when you are stopped it is not the driveshaft or u joints. An out of balance driveshaft or u joints would only occur while at speed and would get progressivly worse the faster you go. Just like an out of balance wheel/tire.

If it shakes while in drive and stopped I would look more at the torque converter.

If it shakes while stopped while idiling in park or nuetral then the problem lies with the motor.

When it's stopped it doesn't shake. When it's in idle, it doesn't shake.

When I start to drive it starts to shake. When I get at speeds over 80 KMH, it shakes a lot.
