I have a Check Engine Light on my 2002 Galant. I have 65K on it and just changed the O2 Sensor. Does anyone have the error codes or have any problems with the Check Engine Light?

Thanks

My daughters 1999 had a stalling problem and engine check light on problem , the dealer replaced the plugs boots and wires , a day later the engine light came on again and the engine stalled , going back to the dealer , they performed a computer reflash and it fixed everything

Did they charge you for the "REFLASH' or provide it gratis due to the previous failure to resolve the CHECK ENGINE light? I'm more curious as to what they did to "reflash" the onboard computer. Typically I have seen, and had to disconnect all batteries for an hour or so. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1994 Galant LS with an intermittent CHECK ENGINE light issue. I cleaned all the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor tonight. So far, so good!

Intermittent check engine light is because theres a problem but it goes away it could be caused by one single misfire or a loose connection (like u hit a bump some thing gets loose) I wouldn't consider it a big problem because its not a constiant problem.

Thanks for the feedback Str8in! So far the info is holding true. I put in a set of Bosch Platinum plugs in 1998 with roughly 77,000 miles. Now have almost 130,000 and the only real problem seen was the plug gaps were all too wide (over .060 on all 4!). A little oil seepage around the upper valve cover seals on cyl's 1, 2 & 4/ NONE on the plugs! And the intermittent "CHECK ENGINE" light has not re-appeared. ALL GOOD!
