Power steering?

What would i need to add power steering to my 91 si?

What would i need to add power steering to my 91 si?

I would imagine, the power rack & pinion, the power steering pump, the fluid resivior (sp?) all the lines and miscellanious hardware. I believe that you could probably use a rack & pinion out of a 4G 4DR, those had power steering, right? It might not have the same response that the Si rack has though.

Some guy stopped by my place the other day cause he always sees cars in the driveway, he was driving a 90 DX that was swapped to an A6, from auto to manual and it had power steering. It had a smashed RF fender and he only payed 500 bucks for it. It has an idle problem and the previous owner got fed up with it and sold it cheap. Whoever did the swap actually did a harness swap, so I am thinking that might be where the idle problem is coming from. Anyway, I digress, sorry.

Why would you need powersteering

i guess just to have it. And lately my dad has been driving my car and he has problems with his hands when ever he makes turn from a complete stop. other then that just wondering.

I have a 4door with power steering in it, I am planning on swapping into my 91 Si. It won't be soon tho, maybe in the spring.
I will post some info on then.
