Hello!
I want to upload some photos of my progress and some finished pics of my model...
OK I know "go to http://files.automotiveforums.com"
But first I don't want to upload pictures on the gallery. I only want them in my post...
And something else more important. There is a space limit of 2,000 kb.
Each pic is about 80kb so we can only upload 25 photos!!!
??? :banghead:
So if you have more pics or more modells that you want to post what can you do???
Or should I delete the previous pictures and upload new?
But then the every older thread will have no photos...
:screwy:

i think i agree, in the longrun when you look back at older threads for information there will be no pics to help us.
i think i prefered the old way of having a 60kb limit but being able to keep uploading. its only going to detract from the site in the longrun as long running threads willl start to loose the first pics as we can easily do 25+ pics on a long build.
any suggestions please

Show me a free website where I can upload my images and they allow me to cross link them over to AF. I have 50megs.com but it wont let me cross link the pictures over to another site.

i wish i knew how to set up a web site and all that lot, i just think af is going to start suffering in the next few months as people reach their limits.
Part of my job and what i do is working out how things that get implemented will affect the future running. And if this was my company i would not have chosen to undertake this latest change.
all of the af comunity come here to be together, i would hapily pay a subscription fee / paymet to gain 100mb worth of space. maybe that is the way to go? but too many people seem to be getting frustrated, which in turn leads to people leaving. i dont want to see this happen as this is like a big happy family (almost)

This would probably serve better in "Hot or Not" over in AF in General.

I think I agree with Chris. While I don't think everyone would want to pay a subscription to AF for some extra space, I would. I think there might should be some way to upgrade your membership to get some extra space, sort of like how Hotmail does it. I can't imagine any subscription fee for those type services would be very great, either, so it wouldn't be any big deal.

On the lines of what you guys are saying, maybe they could start by giving people that donated during the 'Server Fund Drive' a few extra megs of file space?

Above is from Imagestation. Don't know how long it'd stay, but it seems working, when this message is posted. The photo might have to be filed in an album, instead of a strage bin.
