Okie so here is my problem. When im driving my galant, inbetween gears 3-4 the rpms start jumping. So i get the movement of pushing and pulling, Also sometimes inbetween the same gears it will kick. Ive changed my transmission fluid and still does it. Any advice would be great.
Thanks.
Thanks.

a local transmission shop should be able to perform a free transmission inspection.
if the inspection reveals that the tranny is good, it
sounds like it could be an ignition or electrical problem. As a good measure, suggest doing the following in the order noted:
1. add a bottle of fuel system dryer after your next fill up
2. if still a problem at a half a tank, add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner.
3. if still a problem at a quarter tank, replace the spark plug wires
4. if still a problem, replace the fuel filter
5. have a full systems diagnostics peformed at your local Mitsubishi dealer.

i think mine have the same problem, but it does that when i start my car. The RPM just jumps up and down, like automatic reving w/o the pedal. And when i shift to D or R, the car has this strong kick. by the way, i have a 95 galant.

Definately trans. Instead of just changing the transmission fluid, which doesn't drain all the fluid, actually take it in to someone who specialises in auto trans (it is auto right?!) If it is auto, ask then to do a power flush. this forces out all the old crap around the torque converter. My old E39A had a very similar problem, and this fixed it. Give it a go :)
