just a quick question...

i was just wondering what the designations RPS, PS and all that meant realtive to usdm 240sx's, jdm 180sx's and silvia's. i figure its the chassis(sp) code but what goes with what? i looked at the faq and its not there. i was just curous. can anyone clear that up?

RPS13 = chassis designation for JDM 180SX.
PS13 = chassis for JDM S13 Silvia.
RHS13/RMS13 = USDM S13 240SX. one is for SOHC and one for DOHC i think, but i forget which is which.

13: model number -------->13 you get RPS13

the letters, and number go in that order

so

rps13 is the 180sx or fastback with the sr20de(t) motor
ps13 is the silvia with the sr20de(t) motor
rms13 is the fastback with the ka24det motor, without the r its the coupe 240sx with ka24det.
krps13 would be fastback with hicas.
