b16 is in (some pics)

it got here mon evening. checked the weather and it said it was going to snow sat & sun. decided to screw waiting on a clutch. our friend who bought hooptie came over tues around 3:30 and they got his a6 out and the b16 bolted in by 7:30. good job guys :bigthumb: i had to make a bunch of candy ghosts for vic's teacher :banghead: yesterday we messed around with it for like 30 mins when his friend scott showed up. he works at a tire shop so i backed up and let him get all greasy. i played nurse and handed tools. i open the linkage and find no stabalizer bushing....DOH!. now we have to wait for hasport to send one. that changed the tone of everything. the car is back together except for the linkage and a few wires ran for o2 & knock sensor. it starts and holds idle...just runs like ass and throws a code 1 (oxy sensor...lol )

he had to go back to work today. he took some stuff to work to try and MacGyver a bushing until one is sent. before you say anything, we called and nobody has any in stock :banghead: thats the trouble of living in a town of 15 people :icon16:

Mine is still in progress :banghead: it should of get in in August but then my mechanic said that bearings on rods and main shaft need to
be bought so again I need to work a s hell to buy those cca $450
so then my engine is going in finnaly, I hope I'll buy it this month :p

your lucky u got yoru working motor aim, not like me, stock motor no good, ls motor no good, everytiem i get a deal with a friend(about 5 so far) it never works out. ls motor rebuild = $750. i have the worst luck with honda motors ever.

but it looks good, i like b16, can resist taking it up all the way to 8200 and hearing it scream

ive got a 93 bubble back with no motor in it. lookin to put in a b18c5 aka type-r motor. does neone know a CHEAP place to get them.

and i know im being unreasonable as to what cheap is, im just lookin to pinch pennies and get the best deal.

Hey looks good there!! I am doing the same thing right now. Infact i just got the engine last night and will be starting the wirring. My engine and mounts, computer and everything else looks exactly like yours. My engine is a JDM version that came with an ECU and resterbox. I am fixin to go wire it up to day. However there is some questions i was wondering if you could help me with since it looks like you have already been there and done that. The distributor is soposed to be wired like how??? How am i soposed to wire the ECU that i got with the engine?? any help would be great or maybe you could just point me in the write dirrection. This is what i have exactly. I have a 91 CRX dx. I put the the JDM B16 DOHC, Vtec, Obd0 engine in and pluged as much of my DX engine harness onto it as posssible. thats as far as i've got. The distributor is throwing me for a loop. The injectors i think will be easy as there is tons of info available for that. However the self lubricating speedo cable is mysterious as well. Sure would appreciate the help!!!
